Child Safety Standards

Our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation.

Last updated 8 November 2026

Zero tolerance

beem has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). It is forbidden everywhere on beem: in profiles, posts, comments, live streams, private 1:1 lives, video calls, content packs and messages.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • any sexual or sexualised image, video, livestream or text involving a person under 18, real or computer-generated;
  • grooming: contacting, befriending or manipulating a minor for sexual purposes;
  • sextortion, or threatening to share intimate images of a minor;
  • trafficking, or selling or advertising a minor for sexual purposes;
  • sharing, asking for, or linking to CSAM anywhere, including off beem.

Adults only

beem is only for people aged 18 and over. Everyone confirms they are 18 or older when they sign in, and a date of birth under 18 cannot be added to a profile. We close accounts that we find, or that members report, to belong to someone under 18.

How to report

In the beem app, you can report any account or content:

  • Accounts: open the profile, tap ⋯, then Report account.
  • Posts and comments: tap ⋯ on the post or next to the comment.
  • Live streams: tap the flag button while watching.
  • Messages: press and hold the message, or tap ⋯ in the chat to report the account.

Choose Child sexual abuse or exploitation, or User may be under 18. The person is not told who reported them. You can also block any account, so they can no longer contact you.

You can also email info.beempvtltd@gmail.com. Please do not download, screenshot or forward the material, even to report it: describe where it is instead.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first.

What we do

  • Child-safety reports go to the top of our moderators’ review queue.
  • When we find CSAE or CSAM, we remove the content from view and permanently ban the account and the people behind it.
  • We preserve the evidence as the law requires, so that it can be given to the authorities.
  • We report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the relevant authorities, including the eSafety Commissioner and police in Australia.
  • We cooperate with law enforcement requests that concern the safety of children.

Laws we follow

We comply with child safety laws where beem operates, including Australia’s Online Safety Act 2021 and the industry codes made under it. Our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy also apply.
